Position Profile 


Bloomsbury is looking for a Marketing Manager to oversee nonfiction titles, from trade hardbacks to textbooks, published across the following subject areas:

  • Music & Sound Studies, which involves promoting the flagship 33 1/3 series 
  • Politics & International Relations, which includes high-profile authors like Nina Jankowicz
  • Education, which features groundbreaking backlist titles such as Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire

Responsibilities


Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in publishing, preferably with experience marketing academic nonfiction titles. This role requires someone who is organized, creative, and experienced in digital marketing (email, social media, etc.).

  • Be experienced in creating engaging email marketing campaigns 
  • Work closely with sales and editorial colleagues to achieve sales growth
  • Gather and analyze data to improve marketing campaigns, and feedback to sales and editorial colleagues to provide US      market insight
  • Project manage the design of promotional materials, such as catalogs, tote bags, and stickers
  • Plan and execute social media strategies, including Twitter, Facebook, and relevant blogs

  • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation programs useful

  • Ability to travel several times per year

Location: 


Bloomsbury has adopted a hybrid work policy comprising of two days in-office work and three days of remote work. Candidates residing in NY, NJ, or CT must be able to commute to Bloomsbury’s New York City office on a mutually agreed upon schedule for in-office work.  Full-time remote work might be available for candidates residing in PA, NC, FL, NH, or IL.

Salary Description
$50,000 - $55,000 per year
