Aero Simulation, Inc.  is seeking a passionate entry to mid-level 3D modeler to join our synthetic database team. As a 3D modeler, you will be responsible for the 3D design, development, and implementation of aircraft system components. We are looking for an individual who prides themselves as an independent self-starter who possesses initiative, pride, and strong work ethic. You must be resourceful, with the capacity to pick up new skills quickly and possess the ability to work both independently and with software teams to meet tight schedules and deadlines. You will plan and carry projects from initial concept and customer presentation through the entire creative design process to final delivery creating digital 3D simulated versions of real world aircraft system components for use in a Unity driven virtual training environment.


  • Create realistic 2D and 3D assets from aircraft system components (both high and low poly)
  • Animate moving parts and prepare UV’s and materials. 
  • Configure assets for use in a Unity driven virtual environment.
  • Collaborate with design team and other departments on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation throughout all phases of development.
  • Ensure strict source control is consistently maintained and managed. 


This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 



ENTRY- 1 to 3 Years

MID- 4 to 7 Years

  • Strong 3D modeling, animation, texturing abilities.
  • Ability to match photographic reference and capture real world likenesses
  • Considerable knowledge of scene management, limitations, and dependencies.
  • Solid understanding and advanced working knowledge in design software such as 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with Unity, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner and in a collaborative team environment.


  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers. 
  • Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately. 
  • Ability to work in a project-oriented, fast paced environment to meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, SharePoint)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics or related field.


  • Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be able to pass an initial background check. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Employee/selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (as required)
  • Must be able and willingness to travel (CONUS/OCONUS)
