General description of position:
They will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed safely, producing quality results and achieving daily productivity goals set by the Supervisor. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are needed to be a successful Lead Operator. This position will require a working knowledge of Industrial Processing and QA/QC. The individual will fill in for the Shift Supervisor role when the Shift Supervisor is absent.
Duties and responsibilities
•Observe work being performed with an emphasis on safety
•Work with Supervisor to prioritize staffing assignments to ensure that Processing daily goals are met
•Responsible for the accurate completion of QA/QC daily paperwork
•Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure it is operating properly
•Manage the man power to optimize output of production
•Keep area clean and presentable at all times
•Distribute all PPE and enforce the proper usage at all times
•Must be able to plan, organize, direct, control and supervise the work of others
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule
•Proper completion of Bill of Ladings (BOLs)

Education and experience
•High School diploma or GED
•Must have a minimal of 1 year’s processing experience
This job operates in a plant environment. The role routinely requires moving modules in and out of the area. Temperature can be hot in summer and cold in the winter. The job also requires the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs., proper use of hand tools. Subject to sitting, standing, climbing, stooping, reaching, walking, twisting and kneeling to perform essential functions. Working conditions can change from day to day, must be mentally able to handle the stress of repeated changes in work requirements as directed by supervision.
