Chief Sales Officer

The Chief Sales Officer is responsible for leading the company’s sales department to meet revenue and sales growth targets. The Chief Sales Officer oversees all sales-related activities including assessing, implementing, and reporting on sales strategies that will increase revenue and grow Asurint. The Chief Sales Officer directs planning, forecasting, marketing program development, partner relationship development, collateral material development, and customer satisfaction initiatives. 


  • Creates and executes sales department strategies to meet all requirements while achieving Asurint’s revenue and profit goals. 
  • Leads Sales Management team. Hires, develops, and manages team performance to organizational goals and expectations.
  • Analyzes, evaluates and increases the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results. 
  • Develops quotas, budgets, short-term and long-range goals in support of business objectives. Develops long-term business plans along with CEO and other leaders as designated.
  • Leads revenue forecasting by analyzing business tactics, performance analysis, pricing and sales strategies, market research, and competitor analysis.
  • Develops sales strategy, competitive positioning, and market approaches, while partnering with department leaders to optimize sales and processes.
  • Organizes the partnership and marketing functions (branding, communications, etc.) to convey the company's distinctive voice and produce meaningful business results.
  • Increases the customer base and sales through market penetration strategies, lead-generation advertising campaigns, and delivering new product offerings.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and defines processes that drive desired sales outcomes.
  • Monitors daily and weekly sales activity metrics.
  • Works cross-functionally with other leadership to foster collaboration, faster revenue growth, and higher profitability.
  • Works with executive team to develop strategies to increase market share and revenue.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills in developing and communicating growth strategies with CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors.
  • Communicates across departments to develop goals and client strategies.
  • Creates a culture that is consistent with the organization’s focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and guiding principles.
  • Leads team members using a performance-management and development-focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and career growth.
  • Leads management team to meet the organization’s expectations for productivity and goal accomplishment.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Experience leading at the senior departmental level is required. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and target-oriented business environment.
  • Experience hitting set targets and business KPIs is required.
  • Experience building, coaching, and motivating sales teams is required.
  • Experience with C-level selling across multiple verticals is required.
  • Experience using technology to analyze and report sales metrics is required.
  • Experience with background screening is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred. Salesforce is required.
  • Experience leading in the B2B environment and selling in the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success accomplishing and exceeding goals in managerial positions while growing and scaling the sales organization of a sizeable business.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Years of experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in management and leadership of sales and marketing on a national level is preferred.
  • Certifications or licensure: Driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the Company’s liability insurance carrier is required.

Working Conditions

  • The remote work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, which includes the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. 
  • This position is performed remotely or in an office setting, although off-site meetings in various settings occur.
  • The schedule is generally normal business hours, although there is a requirement to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal workings hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
  • Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver's license is required. Occasional overnight travel is required. 
  • Lift light objects [less than 20 pounds] and carry them short distances [20 feet or less].
