We make marketing people love. We are a people-first agency looking for an Associate Production Designer who can take a concept and determine the visual elements needed to bring it to life! This person will be involved in our productions from concepting through production day. 

You will work closely with our Creative Supervisor, Art Directors, Brand Managers, Producers, Directors, Copywriters and Photographers to make sure our sets are visually compelling, on brand and our client’s products are being displayed beautifully. 

We have a fast-paced environment where you’ll juggle multiple tasks for multiple clients, so you’ll need to be able to hit the ground running while developing production design concepts that fit seamlessly into each of  our clients’ unique brand standards and objectives. 

This is a contractor position that will require anywhere from 20-30 hours per week depending on the number of productions. Candidates should have a current CA driver’s license, good driving record and should be able to lift up to 30 lbs. 


  • Collaborate with set building contractors for larger set builds, including project management, reviewing and giving feedback for art direction and creative guidance.
  • For smaller projects, being involved with set builds, including painting, installing, pulling furniture and props for set dressing.
  • Identify Production Design needs for each unique project, such as set design, set builds, backdrops, flat lays, support with sourcing props and prop/food/product styling.
  • Communicate ideas in moodboards and decks for internal teams and clients.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by our internal teams and clients into final production designs.
  • Collaborate with Producers during pre-production to identify locations, props, set pieces etc that fit the aesthetic of the project. 
  • Assist with identified needs on production day depending on the project, i.e. setting up the set and any necessary styling.


  • 3-5 years of production design experience, preferably with set building experience.
  • Skilled in Sketchup and Adobe CC, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Comfortability with power tools and light construction.
  • Ability to lift over 30 lbs.
  • Bonus: Basic understanding of cinematography and photography. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in-person at our studio in Kearny Mesa and provide their own transportation.


  • $25-$35 per hour DOE
