Description
In this role, you’ll support project engineers and leaders in performing structural analysis and design, drafting construction documents, and assisting with construction administration on a range of exciting projects. Your work will help ensure high-quality, technically sound project delivery on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations to support project design.
- Review, mark up, and correct shop drawings to meet project requirements.
- Draft construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Develop structural models for new structures, renovations, and repairs.
- Conduct on-site inspections and special inspections, preparing detailed reports as needed.
- Prepare inspection and field observation reports to document findings.
- Assist in producing technical studies and investigative reports.
- Communicate effectively with team members, project leaders, and external partners, including consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Attend design coordination meetings with team members and clients to ensure project alignment.
- Help prepare proposals and bidding documents.
- Support project leaders in developing drawings, sketches, specifications, and sections for project layouts and contract documents.
- Maintain a commitment to learning and advancing technical and project management skills.
- Participate actively in professional organizations to build the firm's technical reputation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (Postgraduate degree preferred).
- Passed or registered for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, with a commitment to pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Relevant structural engineering internship(s) or related experience.
- Basic understanding of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, including introductory knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
- Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and terminology.
- Proficiency with engineering design and analysis software, such as RISA and RAM.
- Basic skills in AutoCAD and Revit.

Salary Description
$55,000 - $75,000 annually
