Description

In this role, you’ll support project engineers and leaders in performing structural analysis and design, drafting construction documents, and assisting with construction administration on a range of exciting projects. Your work will help ensure high-quality, technically sound project delivery on time and within budget. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations to support project design.
  • Review, mark up, and correct shop drawings to meet project requirements.
  • Draft construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Develop structural models for new structures, renovations, and repairs.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and special inspections, preparing detailed reports as needed.
  • Prepare inspection and field observation reports to document findings.
  • Assist in producing technical studies and investigative reports.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project leaders, and external partners, including consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Attend design coordination meetings with team members and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Help prepare proposals and bidding documents.
  • Support project leaders in developing drawings, sketches, specifications, and sections for project layouts and contract documents.
  • Maintain a commitment to learning and advancing technical and project management skills.
  • Participate actively in professional organizations to build the firm's technical reputation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (Postgraduate degree preferred).
  • Passed or registered for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, with a commitment to pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Relevant structural engineering internship(s) or related experience.
  • Basic understanding of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, including introductory knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and terminology.
  • Proficiency with engineering design and analysis software, such as RISA and RAM.
  • Basic skills in AutoCAD and Revit.

Salary Description
$55,000 - $75,000 annually
