Job Summary: 

BB&N is seeking a part-time Spanish teacher for Level IV. Primary responsibilities include teaching 3 Spanish classes for approximately 24 hours per week from December 2022 through June 2023.  Additional responsibilities include collaborating closely with colleagues in the Spanish Program and attending regular meetings of the World Languages Department. 


Skills and Competencies: 

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Spanish language instruction with a preference for native Spanish speakers or speakers with near-native fluency. Bachelor's degree is required, and at least two years of full-time teaching experience is preferred. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate the following: 

  • Excellent writing skills both in English and Spanish. Please, submit samples.
  • Ability to engage students to converse in Spanish in and out of class
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents 
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues 
  • Commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community
  • Understand and exhibit high standards of professional conduct 
  • Experience and willingness to use technology in the classroom preferred
