Responsible for the day-to-day planning, problem solving and execution of the following duties in support of the PKF Mueller tax practice:

  • Provide support to the tax department in a manner that optimizes efficiency, resources and client satisfaction
  • Process and assemble tax returns, extensions and estimates
  • Process tax organizers and tax engagement letters
  • Serve as the primary resource/contact for CCH Axcess tax software, and additional tax-related programs and procedures, including generating and distributing various reports
  • Process various types of documents
  • Release and monitor all e-files for our PKF Mueller locations
  • Ordering of all tax supplies
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Strong ability to manage data in spreadsheets and manage paperless workflow programs
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays (9-2) during peak season  
  • Strong written skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision along with working cooperatively with all levels of management and employees and contribute as a team member
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency 
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail and sense of urgency 
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees – staff to partner

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree or its equivalent
  • 3 to 4 years of office and/or clerical experience 
  • Prior accounting experience a plus but not necessary
