Choisys Technology is seeking a Blackboard LMS SME with the following skills to support a DoD customer at Fort Eustis 


This position serves as the Blackboard LMS SME- Provides enterprise-level configuration, GUI administration of development and production academic and content management servers. Maintains databases of training records and provides related metrics. Serves at Tier 2 level in LLC Support Desk queue. Utilizes phone, voice and automated systems to track and respond to direct or escalated user requests for assistance. Manage student and instructor accounts. Continuously assesses feedback from users and Tiers 1-3 to create and update training curricula, manuals, SOPs and other products. Utilizes specialized knowledge of Blackboard and Instructional Systems Design to address complex user issues and recommend solutions to meet future needs. Creates and administers Institutional Hierarchy nodes. Facilities, ad-hoc, resident and dL user training for Blackboard and related integrations. Provides recommendations for implementing new technologies to expand capabilities or meet current user needs. Communicates regularly with schoolhouse POCs to report issues and track user experience feedback.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience delivering support to classroom, synchronous online, asynchronous online, and blended instruction methods.
  • Blackboard Certified Trainer (or must complete certification training within 90 days of hire)
  • Ability to develop a basic subject matter understanding through individual research and collaboration with course/content stakeholders
  • Demonstrated writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills
  • Proficient oral communications and presentation skills
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Desired Skills: 

  • Blackboard GUI Administrator 
  • Certified Instructional Systems Specialist 

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to a government installation; ability to obtain T1 level required.
