Partner Veterinary is seeking a veterinary internist (board-certified or residency-trained) for each of our two new Emergency, Urgent Care, and Specialty hospitals; one located in Richmond, VA and the other in Frederick, MD. Position Summary
Based on individual interest, our internists will have the opportunity to see chronic, stable appointments and perform abdominal ultrasounds out of emergency, urgent care and specialty hospital. We are seeking an internist who supports and prioritizes patient care, self-care, and community-care, as these do not have to be mutually exclusive.
As a Partner Veterinary internist, you must be enthusiastically committed to collaboration with the emergency service and other specialty departments. You will see a combination of stable appointments and hospitalized transfers for which your training best equips you to optimize a patient’s outcome. You will also assist other services by performing ultrasounds, when needed.
Partner Veterinary operates under the oversight of two Chief Medical Officers, Dr. Emma Evans – Boarded Criticalist and Dr. Anne Abernethy -ER Doctor, both of whom will be working clinical shifts alongside the team.?
Urgent Care Hospital Equipment and Software Includes:
· In-House Lab Equipment
· Digital Radiology
· Digital Cytology
· Ultrasound
· Multi-parameter anesthetic monitoring equipment
· Smartboard technology
· Integrated EMR and digital treatment sheet software
· Scope and tower (as requested by internist); will plan to move this to ER and Specialty hospital once open
In addition to the equipment listed above, the Emergency and Specialty Hospital will also utilize:
· GE 1.5 tesla MRI
· GE 16 slice Helical CT Scanner
· C-arm fluoroscopy
