The NRF Foundation is seeking a creative, persuasive copywriter to create unique and compelling copy that demonstrates the impact of the NRF Foundation and promotes retail as an industry of opportunity to key audiences across a multitude of channels. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven team player who is deeply motivated and has a proven track record writing compelling copy which illuminates key messages to a multitude of audiences.
•Writes creative, concise and compelling copy to illuminate the key messages of the NRF Foundation
•Partners with NRF Foundation team members and other partners to draft messages, copy, and communications materials to support NRF Foundation programs
•Creates copy for brochures, one-pagers, e-mails, blogs, profiles and news articles
•Writes speeches and create talking points for the President of the NRF Foundation
•Drafts regular communications to update the NRF Foundation Board of Directors on the status of programs and initiatives
•Manages the NRF Foundation social media channels to demonstrate the impact of the NRF Foundation
•Performs other duties as assigned
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in journalism or communications or public relations
•Minimum four years of experience of professional writing
•Error-free writer with strong proofreading skills, attention to detail, and ability to write for different audiences
•Demonstrated ability to produce copy for digital communications including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
•High degree of professionalism and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside
partners and executives
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with on schedule and accurate completion
•Ability to follow through on issues in a timely manner
•Strong knowledge of MS Office
•Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
•Detail-oriented self-starter and strategic thinker with high energy and the ability to work independently, and enthusiastically
collaborate as a part of a motivated, driven team
•Ability to adapt quickly and readily to change
•Some travel required
