Summary

As Senior Learning and Development Specialist, you will help build and implement all aspects of organizational development that support continuous learning and improvement, including training, professional and leadership development, and performance management programs.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for learning initiatives across the organization and prioritizes initiatives according to business needs.
  • Takes a lead role in the project management of L&D initiatives, effectively developing and managing project plans through setting expectations, communications and implementation steps.
  • Designs, develops, facilitates and implements blended learning solutions that address individual and organizational needs, align with business process and systems, engage participants and positively impact job performance.
  • Supports internal communications strategy of the broader Human Resources Team.
  • Helps managers develop plans to improve employee engagement through various employee touchpoints.
  • Equips managers for success through effective training and communication of the performance management process.
  • Conducts training and development needs analysis to determine training and development objectives and priorities for the organization.
  • Collaborates with subject experts within Asurint to develop training for new associates to support a comprehensive onboarding induction program with focused training on the applications/processes in their area.  
  • Prepares, reviews, and/or updates training materials and manuals.
  • Coordinates with the HR, Legal and Enterprise Security Leaders to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. 
  • Conducts post-training assessments to evaluate and measure results; modifies programs as needed.
  • Manages vendors and outside service providers effectively; sets expectations and holds them accountable.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in a corporate training environment is required.
  • Experience with hybrid facilitation is required.
  • Experience creating presentations, training materials, and job aids is required.
  • Experience using various instructional design and delivery tools and modalities is required.
  • Experience with the Cornerstone human capital management [HCM] system and the Articulate suite of rapid E-Learning development tools is preferred. 
  • Experience with technical and non-technical training is required.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting audio-visual and hardware used to deliver trainings is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred. Learning Management System experience is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development or a related field is required.
  • Certifications or licensure: Driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the Company’s liability insurance carrier is required.
  • Years of relevant experience: A minimum of 2 years of training experience is required.
  • Years of experience supervising: none.

Working Conditions

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, which includes the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. 
  • This position is performed in an office setting although off-site meetings in various settings occur.
  • The schedule is generally normal business hours although there is a requirement to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal workings hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
  • Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver's license is required. Occasional overnight travel is required. 
  • Lift light objects [less than 20 pounds] and carry them short distances [20 feet or less].
