Contract Specialist

National flooring company Dixie Carpet Installations, Inc., is currently looking for a qualified Contract Specialist.  The Construction Contract Specialist will focus on contract management, compliance, credit, collections and providing support to multiple Area Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contract Management
  • Review, execution, and setup of contracts and related documents in the procurement process
  • Reviewing and obtaining approval for processing change orders and subcontractor payments
  • Completing pay applications and contract paperwork as well as invoicing
  • Assisting with lien waivers and contract billings
  • Process certified payroll reports (Davis Bacon)
  • Preparing bid bonds, proof of responsibility, evidence of insurance, etc.
  • Processing subcontractor work order tickets
  • Reviewing and following up yearly with all certificates of insurances and renewal certificates
  • Other duties as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.  Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in multiple platforms
  • Ability to tactfully handle and resolve difficult situations with employees and customers
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, and reliable
  • Strong Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP
  • Experience in reviewing construction contracts and knowledge of construction materials.
  • Certified Payroll experience

Salary Description
$60,000-$72,000 Annually
