Delta Dental of Iowa invites candidates for a new Product Innovation Analyst with an emphasis on innovation. Don't know insurance? That's OK! We're seeking candidates with a startup mentality who demonstrate curiosity and want to think differently about product development. You will research, assist in creation, and facilitate implementation of new products, business relationships, and investments in current and new markets. You will collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to develop project plans, scopes, objectives to ensure feasibility. You will support the Product Innovation Director with requested research data, documentation, and project management functions. You will also effectively develop reports to assist stakeholders through the investment/evaluation process. This is an opportunity to act as liaison between new product team and internal teams tasked with implementation.


We are seeking candidates who demonstrate flexibility, have solid interpersonal skills, and are able to work well with all levels of the organization. You will work closely with internal teams to understand processes and procedures relative to the onboarding and hand-off of new products and services.

Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Assist with the development of product strategy proposals, business plans and financial analysis to communicate new business, products, and partnership recommendations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams focused on implementing new product/services.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and deliver supporting business plans and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and maintain new product and service roadmap for new product team.
  • Research and create data and financial analysis to identify market opportunities, reach financial goals with future products and business investments.
  • Use a customer oriented, creative approach to drive new ideas.
  • Work cross-functionally across the business to evaluate and assess implementation feasibility in partnership with business owners.
  • Serve as liaison for operational stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales or related field or equivalent work experience. 
  2. 2 or more years of related experience.      
  3. Experience managing projects with the ability to communicate tasks and progress to others.
  4. Highly organized with flexibility to manage changing expectations and needs from the business.
  5. Strong analytical and financial analysis skills. Development of proforma financials preferred. 
  6. Strong math, Excel and financial modeling skills.
  7. Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Travel may be required.
  10. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
