Field Service Technician
Description

 Red Stick Armature has been in business since 1959, making us the oldest, locally owned, growing, complete electric motor repair and service shop in the state of Louisiana. We repair all types of 3-phase AC and DC motors along with generators of any size.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electric motor equipment at customers' location(s).


 

Knowledge and Experience

Preferred experience working in electrical service repair of rotating electric/mechanical apparatus. However, experience in mechanical maintenance products and industry-specific knowledge will do.

  • OSHA & TWIC Card
  • Valid Drivers License with no major violations in past three years.
  • Experience with cranes and rigging is a plus
  • Able to perform basic math functions
  • Able to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as required
Requirements

 FIELD TASKS: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools; test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system; diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem; connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes; advise management on all hazardous, non-safe, or poor quality standards or situations resulting in poor quality, poor customer service, or unsafe environment.
