Position Description


The fan engagement team within U.S. Soccer acts as the voice and champion of our fans within the organization. As part of this team, the Coordinator, Fan Engagement will become a U.S. Soccer fan expert, concepting, and executing fan engagement initiatives that continue to grow the fan-base and deepen fans’ passion for the sport. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations of U.S. Soccer’s Insiders Fan Program to ensure that U.S. Soccer is delivering unique and memorable experiences that grow the fan base and deepen our fans’ relationship with U.S. Soccer long-term. As the face of the program, the Coordinator, Fan Engagement will also serve as the front line of the Insiders program, communicating and interacting with fans in a professional and solutions-oriented manner to build relationships and fuel passion with those who love our sport. 


Primary Responsibilities 

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Fan Engagement & Loyalty on day-to day-program management and long-term planning for U.S. Soccer’s Insiders program
  • Act as the front line of the program to provide best in class customer service by communicating directly and effectively with fans via email, phone, and in-person at events in a timely and professional manner 
  • Assist in communications planning and execution to Insiders (email, app, website, direct mail, etc.) 
  • Help plan, coordinate, and execute Insiders onsite activations at U.S. Soccer National Team matches and other Insiders events
  • Support and provide assistance with Insiders promotion, advertising, and CRM strategy to grow subscriptions and increase fan loyalty
  • Provides administrative support for U.S. Soccer’s Fan Council and Supporters Groups
  • Work closely with U.S. Soccer’s analytics and technology departments to help with data collection, data analysis, goal setting, program performance evaluation and optimization
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fan services, consumer marketing or related experience
  • Strong customer service aptitude; maintains a calm, professional and solution-oriented demeanor in customer-facing situations
  • Passionate about sports and/or growing the sport of soccer
  • Highly collaborative and likes working as part of a team
  • Self-starter, willingness to immerse themselves in projects and can work independently 
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Exhibits professional maturity
  • Demonstrates a genuine desire and passion for the business
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adjusts quickly to new direction
  • Willingness to travel twice a month domestically with some international travel 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience in email marketing 
  • Familiar with the sport of Soccer and/or international soccer landscape
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Experience leveraging consumer or fan insights to make decisions
