Position Description  
 

As a contributing member within the Finance department, the Senior Financial Operations Analyst serves the organization's staff, department heads, senior leadership, and Federation members through financial and operational planning, reporting, forecasting, data and travel analysis, technology integrations, and operations. This position reports the Finance Director, and oversees the organizations’ travel management platform, travel-related payment processes, and air-travel and accommodations contracts. This role should have technical proficiency, and work to improve the federation’s processes and operational issues, through procurement. This role performs data analysis and develops reports across several areas including federation/departmental financial performance, and travel & expenses.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages Federation’s corporate travel program including management of Concur travel platform and relationship with Federation’s Travel Agency and Airline/Hotel partners
  • Reviews group hotel accommodations contracts for budgetary, sales tax, and billing considerations
  • Oversees federation’s travel and credit card spend policy 
  • Maintains technology integrations of financial systems that connect to the ERP (Sage Intacct)
  • Supports CFO/COO’s and Director, Finance’s initiatives to reduce variability and cost, drive operational efficiencies, make procurement decisions, and initiate system improvements
  • Introduce Procurement processes to federation regarding buying/contract decisions
  • Analyzes financial trends and activity for strategic decision making
  • Retains in-depth knowledge of and maintains the federation’s financial chart of accounts
  • Supports special projects and additional analysis as required
Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Degree in Finance, Business, or Operations
  • Minimum 2-3 years of finance or business experience with demonstrated performance
  • Prior industry experience in financial planning, analysis, and operations/travel
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP (Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MIP, etc.) and reporting systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical & time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure and deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written and in-person communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications 

  • Advanced experience with various financial and technology software including but not limited to Chrome River, Concur, Stripe, Adobe, HRIS, ERP systems
  • Prior experience working at either a non-for-profit, sporting organization, financial services, or travel services company
  • Proficient abilities using technology programs, data science, and introduction to coding is a plus
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings & weekends on an ad-hoc basis
  • Passion for soccer is a plus
