Description
Position Overview
- Responsible for onsite safety
- Supervise craft workers assigned to a specific area; serve as liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction aligns with drawings and specifications
- Plan the work schedule, determining manpower, material quantities, and equipment needs
- Monitor performance and productivity of trades to ensure adherence to project specifications, procedures, and safety requirements
- Manage onsite meetings and distribute schedule updates and meeting notes
- Complete daily documentation, including reports and photos
- Inform Project Management of potential problems, delays, or conflicts; assist with resolving issues
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project timelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Science, with a minimum of 3 years of superintendent, foreman, or crew leader experience;
OR - High school diploma with a minimum of 7 years of related experience in the same roles
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of construction practices, safety requirements, scheduling, cost control, and construction print reading
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Reports to the Operations Field Manager
- Works under the direction of a Project Manager
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating subcontractor and trade work
Working Conditions
- Physical effort required for frequent lifting or moving of materials
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds and walk a project site
- Work is regularly performed outdoors at job sites
- Must have a valid driver’s license, be insurable under company policy, and able to travel as needed
