Job Type
Full-time, Contract
Description

This position is contingent upon successful contract proposal submission and award.

Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) is tasked with training and certifying all Pacific Fleet ships, adapting continuously to meet evolving training standards and operational requirements. With a focus on readiness, ATGPAC provides essential training to ensure U.S. Navy and Coast Guard Sailors are prepared for a wide range of maritime missions. ATGPAC’s mission emphasizes quality afloat training and aims to equip ships' teams— including training teams, special evolution teams, and watch teams—with the skills to maintain and enhance combat readiness throughout deployment cycles.

ATGPAC Distributed Training

ATGPAC delivers training through computer-based simulations and Live, Virtual Constructive (LVC) events at the ATGSD Battle Lab. Distributed training, defined as live or synthetic services for non-organic ships, includes events such as:

  • Final Battle Problem at-sea (FBP)
  • Fleet Synthetic Training–Unit (FST-U)
  • Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD)
  • Anti-Air/Surface/Electronic Warfare (AW/SW/EW) Training and Certification
  • Monthly Inport Training Exercise (MITE)
  • ATG Ship’s Entity Test and Tactical Training (ASET/ASTT)
  • Strike Warfare (STW) Certification

ATGPAC leverages the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE), Tactical Data Links (TDL), Mission Distribution System (MDS), Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT), and Global Command and Control System–Maritime (GCCS-M) for distributed training scenarios.

Collaboration with Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP)

In support of training distribution, ATGPAC partners with Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) under the Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) Program. TTGP, as the Executive Agent for Commander, Pacific Fleet (CPF) Distributed Training Architecture (DTA), manages the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) and other command and control (C2) systems.
