Description

This position is contingent upon successful contract proposal submission and award. 


Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) is tasked with training and certifying all Pacific Fleet ships, adapting continually to meet evolving and expanding training standards. With a critical focus on readiness, ATGPAC provides training to the U.S. Pacific Fleet, ensuring operational effectiveness in naval and joint operations across the entire spectrum of combat scenarios. The mission is to deliver dynamic, high-quality afloat training for Navy and Coast Guard Sailors, emphasizing the development of shipboard training teams, special evolution teams, and watch teams to establish a sustainable level of onboard combat readiness throughout each deployment cycle.


ATGPAC Distributed Training

ATGPAC conducts distributed training through computer-based simulations and Live, Virtual Constructive (LVC) events, primarily in the ATGSD Battle Lab. Distributed training includes both live and synthetic services, supporting the training or certification of non-organic ships. Key distributed training events consist of:

  • Final Battle Problem at-sea (FBP)
  • Fleet Synthetic Training–Unit (FST-U)
  • Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD)
  • Anti-Air/Surface/Electronic Warfare (AW/SW/EW) Training and Certification
  • Monthly Inport Training Exercise (MITE)
  • ATG Ship’s Entity Test and Tactical Training (ASET/ASTT)
  • Strike Warfare (STW) Certification

The ATGPAC Battle Lab supports training via platforms like the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE), Tactical Data Links (TDL), Mission Distribution System (MDS), Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT), and Global Command and Control System–Maritime (GCCS-M).


Role Responsibilities

ATGPAC collaborates with Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) to facilitate virtual training for ships and other facilities under the Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) Program. As the designated Executive Agent for the Commander, Pacific Fleet (CPF) Distributed Training Architecture, TTGP oversees the NCTE and related command and control systems, functioning as the primary NCTE node for the Pacific Fleet and the Joint National Training Capability Training and Enterprise Network (JTEN).

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Operational Experience:
    • Mid-level expertise in controlling Rotary Wing aircraft within Surface and Anti-Surface Warfare operations.
    • Hands-on experience with Navy tactical training systems such as Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), and Multi-System Automated Remote Control and Instrumentation (MARCI), including Tactical Voice/Data Communications systems.

Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Salary Description
$85,000 - $130,000
