The Project Manager is responsible for the profitability, schedule, management, and overall customer experience of each project to which they are assigned, from the first kick-off call to the closeout of the project and delivery of final files. PMs will work with client stakeholders, subject matter experts and the internal development team to coordinate and direct efforts that will create a delightful experience with our customers that results in deeply immersive and visually explosive elearning experiences. Additionally, The Project Manager will work internally at times helping the Sales division to scope new projects and craft appropriate statements of work.
The Project Manager will
• Be skilled in understanding project management tools and process that address issues to keep projects on
schedule, within budget and according to scope
• Lead teams of instructional designers, graphic designers, developers and QA specialists as needed to meet
project goals
• Engage with clients as the primary contact to maintain high communication and achieve objectives
• Maintain and manage multiple projects
• Provide open and frequent communication and reporting with each other and management to keep them
informed of all project statuses, potential risks, budget concerns, and other areas of a project that need to be
managed
• Work the sales team by providing feedback and input on all contracts
• Manage internal/external kickoff and project completion reviews in order to provide continuous process
improvement
• Lead and facilitate various project meetings both internally and externally, to include kick-off meetings, status
meetings, content review meetings, SME meetings, scope change meetings, and other ad-hoc meetings as
required
• Thoroughly review the status of each project on a regular basis to identify potential risks, budget usage,
trending patterns, or any other red flags and then put plans in place to address those concerns
• Work with the Resource Manager to ensure that the team is properly scheduled for all project tasks
• Lead crucial conversations with clients regarding moving timelines, budget concerns, changes of scope and
other difficult topics
• At least 5 years experience as a project manager in eLearning development
• Experience with mobile applications and related technologies a plus
• A minimum BS or BA degree; MS, MA or MBA is preferred
• PMP Certification a plus
• Experience with Google Docs, Basecamp and/or Clarizen a plus
