Perfect Polish, the country’s leader in polished concrete and resinous flooring solutions, is expanding operations and is seeking a Project Estimator to serve as the primary point of contact for RFQs and RFIs with various businesses and general contractors and work the contract through until it is sold.
As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for the estimating of the entire project, including reviewing bid documents and specifications, creating take-offs, quantifying and qualifying material quantities and prices for a precise and accurate bid package/proposal. To succeed in this position, you must be: a self-starter, able to take initiative, dependable, responsible, hard-working, professional, and able to multi-task. The ability to solve problems, meet deadlines, and understand priorities is a must.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales:
• Responsible for account development and territory development through existing account follow up, lead follow up, target marketing and business development meetings
• New and existing account development, estimations on projects, proposal deliveries and material demonstration
• Sales calls deal directly with customers including other Estimators, plant managers, plant engineers, corporate executives, bidding contractors, general contractors, and maintenance managers
• Primary sales focus is on various manufacturing/industrial and Retail environments
• Logging and tracking jobs in company sales software for follow up and status reports
• Follow up with bids or prospects to close transactions.
Estimator:
• Receive requests for estimating and gather necessary information such as plans, specifications, and revisions to jobs in progress.
• Cold calling General Contractors to get approved on bidders list
• Review bid documents, examine plans and specifications to prepare a complete scope of work.
• Perform complete and accurate material take-offs, and negotiate vendor pricing.
• Work closely with the team to communicate challenges and collaborate on solutions for bid packages.
• Communicate with architects, general contractors, and vendors for clarifications to plans and specifications.
• Follow up with bids or prospects to close transactions.
Qualifications:
• Two to three years of past territory and account development experience is required
• Solid qualifying and closing ability as well as a history of sales success
• The ability to work successfully both individually and within a team environment
• Solid time and territory management skills and a strong motivation to develop new accounts are needed for success in this position

• Working with the Sales admin
• Coordination with Field Supervisors and Foremen
• Being available and responsive to admin and field in a timely fashion
• Creating work orders for crews to follow on how job was sold.
Minimum Requirements:
• College degree preferred, but not required
• Ability to read and understand architectural plans, construction documents, construction scopes, and specifications.
• Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to keep electronic and hard copy files current at all times.
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, PC file management. Solid works, timberline, and pro est proficiency preferred.
• High level problem solving skills along with the ability to locate potential problems and prepare and present multiple options and solutions to address these problems.
• Strong work ethic and comfortable working within a team environment to achieve maximum collaboration and timely results.
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work load.
• Estimating or construction management experience is a preferred.
Knowledge of industrial flooring (resinous flooring, coatings, epoxy, concrete staining, and polishing).
