We have a great career opportunity available for a Staff Accountant to join our team of professionals.


The Staff Accountant may be assigned to 5-10 non-profit clients and will serve as a consultative member of those teams; committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients and their members. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate recording, reporting and analysis of monthly financial accounting activities for assigned clients.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Closing general ledgers monthly for all assigned clients with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare financial statements and other reports for assigned clients monthly
  • Reconcile bank activity for assigned clients and investigate discrepancies
  • Prepare year-end Form 1099 reporting, maintaining the vendor list throughout the year
  • Assist the Controller in investigating accounting policies and procedures
  • Performs accounting/tax research and other projects as assigned
  • Assist and support the annual audit /review process for each assigned client
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all assigned clients and client teams
Requirements


Are you Qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Non-profit and/or audit experience a plus
  • Prior experience with QuickBooks Online a plus
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Able to get work done and to be able to do it efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy
