Description
· Greeting customers at the Coffee/Juice Bar.
· Creating quality beverages upon request.
· Cutting and slicing fresh produce.
· Provide customers with information about various coffee and juice bar items.
· Monitor inventory.
· Collect and process payments from the customer including cash, credit and debit cards.
· Ensure product freshness.
· Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work space at all times.
· Keeping coffee and juice bar equipment and tools clean at all times.
· Follow recipes for coffee and juice beverages meeting expectations of Farmer Joe’s Fresh Market standards with exceptional quality.
· Ensure sufficient supply of necessary products.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service/ retail experience is preferred.
- Proficient in English, with additional proficiency in Spanish considered a valuable asset.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Non-slip shoes are mandatory for a safe working environment (please note that company does not provide).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Ability to operate coffee and juicing equipment, such as coffee machines, juicers, and blenders.
- Ability to use a knife and cutting glove to ensure safety.
- Communicate seamlessly with customers, associates, and management, enhancing collaboration and ensuring smooth operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs. regularly.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to operate coffee machines, juicers, blenders, and other equipment with precision. Requires skills in cutting and slicing fresh produce using knives and cutting gloves.
- Reaching and Bending: Must be able to reach at or above and below shoulder height, bend, twist, and crouch to access equipment, shelves, and storage areas.
- Handling Hot and Cold Items: Ability to handle hot coffee machines and equipment safely, as well as cold items from refrigerators and freezers.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Must be able to perform regular cleaning tasks, including scrubbing surfaces, washing equipment, and maintaining a sanitary workspace.
- Visual and Auditory Skills: Ability to clearly see and distinguish colors, labels, and details related to the preparation of beverages and the monitoring of inventory. Must also be able to hear and respond to customer requests and operational communications.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management, both verbally and non-verbally, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
