Description

JOB SUMMARY 


The Tucson Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Tucson division. Duties include supervising field and warehouse personnel, ensuring daily targets are met, ensuring all field operations are completed timely, providing advice and conflict resolution to staff and builder clients, maintain flooring installation standards and quality of work, and communicating work-related issues to management. To ensure success as a Tucson Operations Manager, you should have excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate, communicate effectively, as well as the ability to identify operational problems and solve them quickly and efficiently.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Organize, plan, and manage the daily tasks of flooring operations.
  • Maintain professional vendor relationships.
  • Work closely to support sales team and Division Managers if needed to acquire new customers and maintain customer relationships.
  • Work closely with any JRM department when needed to promote efficient process workflow.
  • Work with JRM Cabinet division to ensure all scopes of work integrates with flooring scopes of work to help ensure schedule efficiencies, collaborative field operations and workflow with builders.
  • Work professionally with customers to promote issue resolutions when needed within operations.
  • Ensure material and services are on time and of the highest quality to the customer.
  • Learn and use company operating software – RFMS and FMS.
  • Ability to fully understand and interpret flooring installation guidelines.
  • Manage and participate when needed in all warehouse operations: inventory, deliveries, unloading trucks and etc.
  • Continually review company processes to create new efficiencies and/or proactive strategies throughout operations.
  • Work with New Homes Division Manager, Relay Division Manager, Multifamily Division Manager, senior management, and finance department when needed to support operations.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Assisting with employee recruitment for field and warehouse operations, as well as overseeing the onboarding process and setting up appropriate training with new hires.
  • Manage labor, which includes: all hiring, establish pay structures and installation standards to achieve company installation expectations.
  • Enforce quality assurance programs with JRM field team and hold subcontractors accountable to ensure superior installations.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are maintained to promote a safe working environment, including safe operations of machines and any equipment.
  • Overseeing facility, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Evaluating operations performance, individual performance and identifying areas in need of improvement.
  • Working with the HR department to handle all inter-division disputes and conflicts.
  • Actively promoting and completing annual performance reviews for the direct report personnel


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • 5 years of experience in the home building and/or flooring industry preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts/proposals and procedures written in English
  • Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak clearly
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Products: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word
  • Teamwork, supportive management style
  • Reliable, effective multitasker, with positive attitude and professional communication skills
  • Perform at a high level in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Infallible attendance and impeccable work ethic
