IT Support Technician
Memphis, Tennessee



Leading generic pharmaceutical distributor with advanced information   technologies seeks a highly motivated IT Support Technician with a passion   for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. This position is responsible for receiving   and routing helpdesk tickets, provisioning user accounts, installing and supporting   computer hardware, software and networking technologies, assisting end-users   and operational record-keeping.

· Provide first level support for the IT helpdesk and resolutions to end-user issues

· Properly route and escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support

· Provision new user accounts in various systems 

· Utilize excellent customer service skills to minimize end-user downtime

· Respond to issues in a timely and efficient manner

· Maintain IT asset registers and other departmental records 

· Install software and updates on user computers

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software and device connectivity

· Maintain an inventory of parts and equipment.

· Other duties as assigned



· College education or certifications in IT or related     area

· 1+ year of relevant experience in an IT support role

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Ability to complete basic technical projects with     limited supervision

· Write technical support documentation

Technical Skills     Required:

· Experience using IT helpdesk system

· Knowledge of identity management system such as Active Directory

· Experience teaching others basic Microsoft Windows and Office functions

· Experience connecting computer hardware to networks

· Experience installing application software and device drivers

· Experience troubleshooting computer problems

· Experience assisting end-users in an office environment

· Work well independently and within a team 

· Be able to work well with deadline pressure

· Strong work ethic and attention to detail

· Excellent verbal and written communication 

· No regular travel required.
