Position Summary
The Test Engineer will help lead, coordinate, and support all tests and associated activities for the Product Engineering group. Additional responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and governing test plans to ensure product specifications are met. The Test Engineer should also be capable of completing defined technical tasks and possess a basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals. This person will also need to interpret and communicate technical information.
Job Duties
- Support and conduct weapons tests and problem-solving activities in the R&D test center. (30%)
- Create and maintain product test templates and contribute to project velocity initiatives. (15%)
- Create and maintain test plans and reports for various products. (30%)
- Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all test related supplies and equipment. (15%)
- Manages and executes assigned engineering tasks in adherence to the schedule. (10%)
- *Other duties as assigned by management.
Educational Requirements
BSME or Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
Entry level BSME or equivalent four-year technical degree. Minimum of four years relevant work experience for non-BS degree.
Skills and Competencies

Preferred Skills and Competencies
Understanding and application of reliability and confidence for durability and reliability testing a plus. Experience with Minitab.

- Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 1994 and 1982.

- 3D CAD software (PTC Creo preferred)
- Design Analysis and Simulation Software (experience with CeTol, Ansys or Adams preferred)

Training
Training on department specific Gateway (SharePoint based), PDS (PTC Windchill based), project management software, kinematics and high-speed video will be required.

None.
Working Conditions
Typical office environment with some travel between buildings and to other locations required. May be exposed to loud noises, toxic chemicals, and dangerous machinery when on the plant floor.
