SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to support the overall development effort of Warm Beach Camp (WBC) by working under the leadership of the Development Director. The position will strengthen the ministry of WBC by cultivating and maintaining donor relations that benefit the Horsemanship Program. Anyone filling this position must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision, work well under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, maintain strict confidentiality, and pay strong attention to detail. This person shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior towards donors, volunteers, colleagues and supervisors. Regular attendance is essential for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
A. Support the Horsemanship Development effort:
Cultivate and maintain donor relationships.
Represent the Horsemanship Program in the community through civic and non-profit events.
Write stories for publication that capture the heart of the Horsemanship Program.
Support the volunteer effort by helping to thank and support volunteer relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
