Position Overview: The Business Analyst II responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department and development team. Primarily resolving end-user concerns, help desk management, documentation of business requirements, product backlog management, software testing, and internal documentation. To be successful in this role, excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills are required as well as a drive to learn, grow, and try new things.  


BUSINESS ANALYST II RESPONSIBILITIES

60% Business Analysis / Business Requirement Discovery

Conduct interviews and gather requirements from internal stakeholders for software/CRM development initiatives. Document goals, user acceptance criteria, and metrics for success.

Deliver functional requirements and user stories to the Product Owner to be included in the product backlog.

Independently conduct analysis of the company's CRM and other systems. Identify inefficiencies in processes and suggest improvements and/or recommended solutions.

Document test cases or the steps needed and perform manual software testing throughout the software development lifecycle. Coordinate end-user testing prior to software releases to confirm it passes the user's acceptance criteria.

Support the Product Owner with backlog management tasks, prioritization, and roadmaps.


35% Operations/IT Support

Assist with help desk management and ticket resolution. Document software bugs and steps to duplicate.

Participate in department Scrum activities. Assist the scrum master and scrum team by removing impediments.

Create and maintain business continuity documentation and other company documentation as needed.

Assist the VP of Product and Technology with the daily management activities of the Operations team.


5% Miscellaneous

Maintain schedule and project flexibility in the workplace to accommodate a fast-growing entrepreneurial company where changes are fluid.  

Provide recommendations for department and company improvements. 

Other duties as assigned. 


Requirements

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Professional Experience:

2+ years experience as a Business Analyst.  

1+ years experience in project management. Scrum or other Agile methodologies preferred. 

Proven track record of completing projects from start to finish.

Demonstrated success working in team environments

Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills. 

Ability to multitask, prioritize, be independent, manage time effectively, and be a self-starter. 


Technical Experience:

1+ years of working with or in a software development team with hands-on experience 

1+ years of hands-on experience with project management tools. Jira and Asana preferred.

Familiarity using Mac OS platforms and Internet/PC proficiency.

Proficiency with CRM systems such as Zoho, Dynamics, or Salesforce.

Demonstrated experience with high efficiency and accuracy of typing and word processing.

Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Task, and Calendar experience. Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (business management and communications-related degrees preferred with coursework in project management) or equivalent work experience. 

CSPO and Agile certifications preferred
