Concern Worldwide US (CUS) is an independent affiliate of Concern Worldwide, with offices in New York and Chicago. CUS advances the Concern Worldwide mission through mobilizing financial and human resources, as well as influencing and activating networks in the US to elevate programs globally.
Concern US is implementing a two-year “bridge” strategic plan to chart the organization’s course as it prepares to synchronize its strategic direction with the goals of the global organization, and the new global strategic plan that commences in 2021. Over the next two years, Concern US will leverage its organizational strengths to continue to see the gains that have been made over the past decade in reducing hunger and poverty extended to the poorest, most isolated communities. Concern US will do this by focusing on three main priorities: 1) Grow net income and diversify funding sources in order to sustainably support Concern’s programs; 2) Support the development and implementation of quality programs, enhanced by knowledge exchange and external engagement; and 3) Relentlessly pursue organizational resilience and cultivate an adaptive culture with the right talent to achieve operational excellence.
The Development Manager, Donor Engagement, is a new member of a growing Development team. Reporting to the Vice President of Individual Giving & Events, this position will work closely with the Events Team, Director, Major Gifts, and collaborate with colleagues in the Marketing & Communications Department, as well as the Business Operations Department. S/he will be responsible for expanding the strategy and scope for this portfolio of 700 donors, overseeing and implementing engagement opportunities, cultivating relationships, adapting marketing materials and upgrading strategies targeted to Concern’s Major donors program. This exciting new position plays a crucial role in strengthening and sustaining Concern’s donor pipeline at a time when the organization is executing on a new two-year public engagement strategy.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
