Logistics Shipment Coordinator
Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

Compile data, track/trace shipments to maintain on-time shipment performance, input data into computer system and communicate information to assigned account(s) and web-portals.

Essential Functions: 

  • Access voice messaging system(s) to obtain load information from assigned account(s). Input load information into computer system accurately and efficiently. 
  • Respond to internal and external requests for the release of information on loads tendered by assigned account(s). 
  • Complete daily check calls to assigned account(s) as per account requirements. 
  • Compile data and input data into customer(s) web portals.
  • Prepare documents, correspondence and maintain spreadsheets used for invoicing and settlement verification. 
  • Read incoming email correspondence to ascertain nature of the business request from assigned accounts. 
  • Accept and process loads via EDI. 
  • Compile data from records to prepare periodic reports as needed for assigned accounts and for tracing purposes. 
  • Work with other Logistics Account Managers to ensure successful execution of freight moves.
  • Compose letters or responses in reply to correspondence concerning such items as damage claims, settlement questions, load information, billing information, delinquent accounts, incorrect billing, unsatisfactory service, etc. as needed in a professional manner. Communicate such with immediate supervisor. 
  • Maintain files and control records to show correspondence activities. 
  • Comply with company policy and procedures.

Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)


Experience : Six months to one year related experience
