Job Description – Service Foreman

Reports to: Service Superintendent

Position Overview

The Service Foreman’s responsibility is to investigate, find and repair the leak source on T&M calls. The Service Foreman is responsible for completing the scope work on time and within the budget. The Service Foreman mentors the Service Technician by teaching them the proper techniques and processes needed on each roof system. The Service Foreman inspects the roof after repairs are complete to report any additional repair recommendations. The Service Foreman is the face of the company and must present himself/herself professionally! 

 
 

Department Overview

The Service Department is a team designed to create a partnership between Maxwell Roofing and the Customer. The Service Department manages customer service functions including emergency roof services, roof maintenance, and MAXCare®. The Service Team consists of the VP of Services, Service Coordinator, Superintendent, Estimator/PM, and the Service Crews. The Sales Department, specifically the Account Managers, works closely with the Service Team to assist with customer partnerships and work requests.  

 
 

The “Service Foreman” is responsible for the following essential functions: 

  • LMA (leading, managing, and holding people accountable)
  • Follow the safety procedures in place
  • Repairing roofs
  • Reporting via mobile app
  • Trains the Service Technician
  • Provides customer service
  • Truck/Equipment Operator
  • Manages Truck Inventory
Requirements

Key Results:

  • Safety: Monthly Grade of 90 or above on Safety Audits
  • Quoted Repairs: Completes all quoted repairs at or above 40% GP margin
  • Attendance: At work, on time per schedule. 
  • Zero unexcused absences 
  • Quality Objective: No more than 1 Recall on T&M work per Month. 
  • Internal Charge / Non-billable Work
  • Morale: Behavioral score above 45
     

Key Activities:

  • Debriefs the Service Superintendent on yesterday’s work
  • Checks in and out with customer (customer service)
  • Investigate leaks and make appropriate repairs
  • Reports additional work recommended
  • Uses proper safety precautions required for each job
  • Maintains a clean and organized truck.
  • Trains the Service Tech
  • Reports issues to the Service Superintendent
  • Reports all job information via mobile app
  • Clocks in and out properly
Salary Description
$22-$30/HR
