The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for strategically managing the full recruiting function and candidate lifecycle for Skillable by sourcing and identifying top talent for both technical and non-technical team members. Partner with leaders across the organization to provide guidance and support for the requisition and job description creation process through final offer, acceptance and initial onboarding.  

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the general recruiting processes and procedures and provide talent acquisition updates to upline leadership as regularly and as requested.

  • Write or enhance position requirements and requisitions for open positions to ensure best match for current openings.
  • Use a variety of technical tools, web sites and networking to identify and track a highly qualified pool of candidates.
  • In partnership with hiring managers, source and screen pre-qualified candidates for open requisitions.
  • Support candidates in understanding the Skillable interview process and job requirements.
  • Assist in conducting employment verification and reference checks.
  • Partner with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to ensure a strong employment brand messaging for external purposes. 
  • In partnership with hiring managers and in line with budget planning, negotiate and convey hiring package.
  • Ensure timely closure of open positions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws in all hiring and employee relations practices.
  • Collaborate with other members of the HR team to ensure that candidates are successfully transitioned into the organization.
  • Maintain HR Position Control and Recruiting Update reports that allow for an analysis of recruiting metrics including cost per hire, days to fill, turnover rates, success of sourcing initiatives, etc.
  • Develop, maintain and champion company hiring practices that align with DE&I initiatives and programs.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of recruiting related budget. 
  • Represent Skillable at industry events and conferences as required.
  • Support and promote the company values through positive interactions with both internal and external partners and customers on a regular basis.
  • Other strategic business initiatives or cross-functional project involvement as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in recruitment/talent acquisition for fast paced, growing technology organizations. Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in working with technology and non-technology leaders. 
  • Experience and willingness to pitch in on other areas of HR as needed.
  • Ability to work independently to partner with hiring managers at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop and implement creative sourcing strategies especially for technology roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of and in-depth experience with technical sourcing tools, systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal compliance requirements and employment laws. 
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching others either cross-functionally.
  • Proven success in sourcing, screening and selection of top talent.
  • Experience in negotiating and communicating challenging messages professionally and courteously.
  • EEOC experience a major plus.
  • Naturally inquisitive with a desire to solve problems and dig into detailed analysis.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and promoting collaborative partnerships to drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload and meet project deadlines.
  • Interest and ability in mentoring other team members as applicable.
  • Strong MS Office, web conferencing and internal communication software experience.
  • Detail oriented and organized.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The job conditions for this position are in a remote home office setting, requiring a space that supports privacy and focus to attend to regular and frequent video and voice calls. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Travel is anticipated up to 20% of the time for critical business meetings and industry events.
