Description

JOB SUMMARY 

Currently searching for a Billing and Collection specialist to join our team! Duties include processing invoices, reviewing bills, preparing statements, and using online billing platforms. Must have excellent communication skills and accounting or billing experience is preferred. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Processes and maintains invoices in excess of 2,300 per month
  • Processes AIA billing for select accounts
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of customer billing and invoices
  • Sends out bills in a timely manner
  • Processes accounts receivable adjustments
  • Runs and maintains a clean aging through email and verbal collection methods
  • Performs account reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of past due balances
  • Prepares account statements and processes refunds
  • Processes billing through on-line platforms when required by client
  • Turns delinquent accounts over to collection agency or files mechanics lien when necessary
  • Assists team with answering phones during busy times of day and/or when requested
  • Requests and issues Certificates of Insurance, per client requests
  • Navigates and masters on-line billing and vendor management platforms such as Ops Exchange, Vendor Café, RMIS and Realpage.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.  Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience in a high volume, customer facing account related role
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses a general knowledge of accounting principles and practices along with at least two years’ experience in a billing or accounting position.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, detailed oriented and a willingness to take ownership and follow through.
  • Must work well under pressure to ensure that all processing is performed within the required time frames.
  • Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
  • Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Adheres to the company's values and ethical expectations.
  • Able to effectively multitask with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to accept other additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new processes and new technology.
