SUMMARY OF POSITION TGTHR is seeking a passionate and ambitious Chief Development Officer to guide and implement our fundraising strategy and ensure the longevity of our well-established organization. You will be responsible for leading a team that supports grant writing strategy, fundraising, donor cultivation, community engagement, communications, and more. You will build and maintain relationships with donors, secure large contributions, and oversee communications. You must be motivated, able to solve complex problems, willing to roll up your sleeves to get work done, and believe in philanthropy’s power to make the world better.


  • Develop and execute a visionary fundraising and communications strategy for a $5M organization.
  • Effectively engage board members in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to establish a culture of philanthropy and build engagement in organization-wide development efforts
  • Oversee and coordinate the development team’s work as it relates to a variety of funding streams and communication practices.
  • Represent the organization’s mission and practices to donors, prospects, development committee(s), fundraising volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify, solicit, and build relationships with funders, both locally and beyond.
  • Work in productive collaboration with the organization’s leadership while advocating for the development team’s needs and goals.


 ? 5+ years’ experience leading development teams.

 ? Proven track record of securing $100k+ donations and grants.

 ? Ability to build strong relationships with donors, grant officers and other philanthropic stakeholders.

 ? Strong communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and management skills.

 ? Ability to collaborate and work cross-departmentally.

 ? Able to work in our Boulder office on a regular basis.

 ? Some regional travel and weekend/evening work required.

Benefits and Compensation 

Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000. TGTHR offers a competitive compensation package such as medical, dental, vision, and accident insurance, paid time off/sick leave/parental leave/paid holidays/bereavement leave, employee assistance program/counseling services, development and educational opportunities and a 403(b) retirement plan.
