Description

This position requires a talented pharmaceutical marketing copywriter who is well-versed in creating accurate and engaging marketing content to motivate and educate sales and clinical audiences, nurture leads, and increase brand awareness. This position requires delivering messages to the right person at the right time to meet the needs of our clients and help grow their brands. 


The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys researching, content planning, and finding ways to create an authentic connection with the audience. This position requires expertise in multi-platform, multi-format content with a solid understanding of marketing, storytelling, SEO and the ability to write to specific audience segments. Detail and organization matter in regulatory submissions to achieve efficient approvals.


As a vital marketing team member, you’ll need to translate complex details of various therapeutic areas and thoroughly understand each client’s industry, their products/services, brand guidelines, and marketing goals. 


Expect to work closely with the client services, strategy team, and designers for project intake, execution, and presentations. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style and curious mind.  


Requirements

Objectives of this Role

  • Support editorial team by performing daily tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Continually raise the bar on informative copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
  • Conduct research as needed on therapeutic areas, company, or target audience at hand
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client-related industry trends
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
  • Understand and follow regulatory standards and requirements for successful submissions
  • Follow best practices for annotations
  • Identify copyrighted material that requires permission for reproduction; process permission requests when required
  • Effectively use company project management and communication software
  • Attend kickoff, status, and other job-related meetings
  • Incorporate client feedback and collaborate with the team to address 


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative from concepts through execution
  • Create long-form and short-form marketing content, including web copy, e-books, blogs, sell sheets, pitch decks, newsletters, ad copy, emails, and white papers
  • Develop expert knowledge of the company's products and services and a keen understanding of our product roadmap
  • Become an expert in client messaging & positioning and apply the right voice and tone in marketing content
  • Craft compelling messages that work best for specific marketing channels (ad campaigns, SEM/SEO, site content, thought-leadership pieces, email/CRM, events, and all other applicable touchpoints)
  • Continually test and optimize marketing content
  • Research and understand the client's needs and target audiences through online search, review of existing research, and interviews with subject matter experts
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials; use references and annotations as needed
  • Collaborate with a team of client service managers, strategists, and creative staff on timelines, allocated resources, and creative execution
  • Present copy and final deliverables to internal team and client as needed
  • Revise copy based on internal and client feedback/direction

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, or related discipline
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes and requirements
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Strong skills in time management, prioritizing, and organizing, with attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Familiarity with standard software: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat
