Guest School Nurse
Description

 

SUMMARY


The Guest Nurse will be providing basic first aid to students, administering an over-the-counter medication that has been approved by the parents/guardians, administering prescription medication as directed on school forms, and assisting students in urgent/emergency situations (i.e. allergic reactions, diabetic concerns, seizures, injuries, and mental health concerns). The individual will be responsible for documentation related to student care, and communication with faculty, staff, and parents throughout the day as necessary. 


In addition, the Guest Nurse will be part of a team that shepherds the mental, physical, spiritual, and academic health of the Grammar and Upper school students. He/she is one who has both a desire to minister to the total child and has a calling in his/her heart to serve God as a staff member within a covenantal community.



Requirements

 Medical experience required.
