Essential Responsibilities

  • Create, monitor and analyze production schedules in accordance with the standard best practice for manufacturing
  • Schedule the production process and departmental activities relating to material, employee, and equipment availability
  • Monitor production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Efficiently assign production to minimize company costs and meet delivery deadlines
  • Review production specifications, identify, and report plant capacity constraints
  • Resolve production, manpower and material shortage problems quickly in an order of priority
  • Work with the Manufacturing Team Leader to execute and implement process improvements
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production
  • Work with the Manufacturing Leadership Team to develop potential solutions to improve production performance
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to develop and maintain scheduling parameters
  • Generate daily or weekly production reports to Leadership for critical decision-making purposes
  • Develop production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, shop and employee capacity, and new business opportunities
  • Other task may be assigned as needed by the Manufacturing Team Leader


  • Three plus years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing scheduling, supply chain or related field highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or a minimum of five years’ experience in Production Planning required.
  • Strong background and experience utilizing MRP is a must.
  • Extensive computer experience working with MS Office; strong Excel skills are required (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas). 
  • Proficiency with ERP software (EIQ or Delmia Works preferred) is required.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and possess a positive communication style.
  • Possess strong, independent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations including decimals, fractions/ratios, percentages and other mathematical formulas.
  • Must have the ability to identify and communicate real-time challenges and provide solutions.
  • Ability to understand product flow and inventory control processes, and identify and/or solve problems from incorrect/missing/inconsistent data.
  • Ability to project a consistent, positive attitude and work well with people at varying skill and ability levels.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings, develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Must be self-directed, methodical, have strong attention to detail, and be able to manage time effectively to identify task assignments and priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a sitting position at least 50% of the time
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs to attend meetings and meet with immediate supervisor
  • Use of hands/fingers to handle or feel to operate office and engineering machinery, inspect and handle tooling and/or materials
  • This position consistently communicates with all other departments via emails, speaking and hearing 
  • Must have the vision abilities to observe, determine, inspect, estimate and assess information using a computer
  • The noise level is normal to loud for this position
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. without help of equipment using proper lifting techniques
