As an Azure Practice Manager at Managed Solution, you will define solutions using newly released and existing Azure technologies and microservices. You will have real influence to help grow Managed Solution’s Azure cloud and managed services while developing the practice framework and ensuring alignment across technical teams throughout the organization. A successful candidate is self-driven and has deep technical knowledge in designing and implementing Azure solutions that drive customer adoption and on-going support needs. You must be curious, adaptive, and mission oriented, as we are looking for our Azure Jedi.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use problem-solving creativity to design, architect, and develop high-end technology solutions that solve our clients' most complex and challenging problems across different industries on Microsoft azure, solving for client needs in small, medium, and enterprise-scale environments.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design and deployment life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions.
  • Provide Cloud-first thought leadership and help build a culture of learning within your team and the organization.
  • Lead technical discussions and build consensus among engineers to drive adoption.
  • Automate deployment functions using automation tools and scripts to provide a robust cloud stack in Azure that supports the Client's environment
  • Build, migrate and test Azure environments and integrations of services with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Utilize proven expertise in designing and architecting multi layered Cloud only / Hybrid networks for Microsoft Azure cloud to plan and implement solutions.
  • Communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form.
  • Lead program optimization to work within the evolving constructs of an Azure environment.
  • Work with sales, marketing and leadership to build from multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

  • Strong track record of implementing Azure cloud services in a variety of azure computing environments, while also leading highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and software deployments
  • Keen ability to think strategically about business, mission, and customer challenges and then apply best-fit Azure cloud technology solutions
  • Deep familiarity with Cloud and Cloud-Native Principles, including hands-on experience with Azure cloud service provider APIs
  • Proven experience in security design for complex applications, distributed systems, APIs, and services deployed to Azure cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments including identity and access, network, vulnerability, and change management
  • Broad familiarity and technical leadership in secure, resilient, robust Azure cloud platform design and architecture including the application of cloud-native solutions, services, and APIs as well as a solid foundation in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services
  • Broad familiarity of managing project operations, including effort estimation, staffing, budget, timelines, deliverables, risks & issues
  • Strong consulting and / or client facing experience in the following areas; Preparing architecture and operational documentation, including design diagrams and runbooks; Delivering client workshops and roadmaps; Preparing and presenting status reports to multiple stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least eight years of Cloud solution design, Cloud infrastructure/migration, and containerization experience
  • Azure Certifications, to include at least one of the following: AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-500, AZ-700, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-120, AZ-140 or AZ-220
  • Hands on experience with Azure platforms including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage(2), Azure Cosmos DB, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
  • Strong, practical Windows-based and Linux systems administration skills in a Cloud or virtualized environment
  • Solid knowledge in SQL, security standards, BI tools, ETL tools and Microsoft Azure specific technologies
  • General automation, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, Ansible highly preferred, PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding of Cloud foundational components, with design and hands-on Azure experience in most of the following areas: Azure Cloud IaaS & PaaS services, Identity and access management; Software-defined networking, security, governance, and compliance, Cloud automation and provisioning tools / techniques (ARM, Terraform, and Azure DevOps a plus) , Azure native disaster recovery & resilience capabilities
  • Azure Kubernetes Service Design and implementation experience or one or more Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Containers and Hyper-V containers)
  • Familiarity with Web Technologies (web servers, proxies, certificates)
  • Application development experience using ASP.NET, C#.NET, Java, Web Services, XML, JSON, WebAPI, Java Script , JQuery, HTML 5,CSS, IIS, Rest Services.

Shift + Availability:  

Monday through Friday, hours to be agreed upon based on Company needs. Presence at Company events, client meetings, conferences, and other activities may require occasional work mornings, evenings, and/or weekends. Company operates in Pacific Time Zone, though some scheduling flexibility may be offered for employees in other regions.


Compensation & Benefits* 

Base Wage Range: $150, 000 to $200,000 per year 

Managed Solution considers a range factors when determining an appropriate wage. Such factors include but are not limited to years of related experience, industry knowledge, formal education, relevant certifications, and geographic location. Wages are paid as earned and in accordance with Company policies. 

Incentive Compensation Plan: This position is eligible for incentive compensation in accordance with its respective plan and Company policy. Details available during the interview process.
