Description

This position is a full-time, in-person, benefit eligible position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Processing accounts payable and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Working closely with other departments in the processing of all accounts payable
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger and bank accounts to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
  • Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting  principles
  • Assisting with billing and tax  documentation preparation
  • Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records
  • Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.
Requirements

  

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent understanding of governmental guidelines, tax laws that affect the company
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in basic office and accounting software programs
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

General Qualifications and Requirements


Education 

  • Associate degree or 2 years of previous experience as an accountant or a similar role.

Preferred  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field.
