Daily Tasks:

You will be in charge of your own route and truck which you will be expected to ensure all materials and equipment needed for the day are ready. The Fertilizer Technician will be responsible for applying high quality fertilizers and herbicides to our residential and commercial customers. They will check the lawn for any issues and reporting them to your Account manager. This position will require a high level of attention to detail as you will need accurate records of applications and ratios of chemical mixes.  You will report directly to your Account Manager for all concerns, questions, issues, and customer requests. 


Typical assigned jobs include but are not limited to: spraying/spreading of pesticides, fertilization of lawns, aeration, dethatching, over-seeding and lime apps. It’s important that jobs be carried out with attention to detail. 


The physical demands of this job require constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and frequently operating machinery. This job requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to the elements. This may include heavy to moderate noise and exposure to tools and machines used in outdoor construction/landscaping.

Requirements

 

Requirements

  • Current and valid PA Driver’s license
  • Competence in driving a commercial truck
  • Current PA DOT Medical Card
  • Pesticide License: Cat 6 and Cat 7
  • 2+ years of Fertilizing Experience

Salary Description
$22-$25 per hour
