Sanderson MacLeod, Inc. is looking for an ambitious, creative and reliable Tool Maker who is passionate about using their skills to change the world by producing twisted wire brushes that supply essential industries worldwide. We use the most up-to-date technology and progressive processes in manufacturing (ranging from manual to fully automatic) to provide our clients with innovative products.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, heat treating and grinding new tooling components, as well as sharpening, repairing and modifying existing tooling as well as choose the appropriate materials for different types of tooling.

Must have the ability to build, sharpen, and troubleshoot dies and cutting tools. Ability to setup and operate machine shop equipment (lathes, milling machines and surface grinders) to tight tolerances and the ability to use measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, height gage) required. Must be able to read and decipher drawings and prints, have knowledge of shop math and a strong mechanical aptitude and a good grasp of tooling theory. Successful candidate will have 5-10 years of experience, preferably in a tooling or prototype environment with a vocational certificate or Technical Associate's Degree. Experience with AutoCAD Inventor and/or Autodesk Fusion 360 is a plus.
