Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including powertrain systems, engines, electrical components, and vehicle systems.
  • Use advanced automotive diagnostic tools, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Repair or replace engine components, including diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance, and safety inspections to uphold quality standards.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precise mechanical repair techniques.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of vehicle parts or equipment following proper safety protocols.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and maintaining professional communication.

Requirements & Experience

  • Experience: Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with GM or similar brands.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of automotive engine technology, electrical systems, ADAS, powertrain components, and maintenance procedures.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, executing heavy mechanical repairs, and reading repair manuals/schematics.
  • Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE certifications or OEM/factory training strongly preferred.
  • Tools: Personal technician tools required.
  • Mindset: Pride in quality workmanship and a fix-it-right-first-time mentality.
