Description
Franklin Madison is seeking a motivated, professional, and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. This position will focus on the Marketing Services division and assist in the day-to-day financial operational functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, General Ledger, corporate and divisional reporting requirements, month end and year close process and reconciliations in accordance with corporate policy and GAAP guidelines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Full cycle day to day activity: AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets and Treasury Process
- Accounts receivable invoicing, collections and customer correspondence/relations
- Work with internal teams to ensure all invoices are correct and investigate discrepancies
- Complete journal entries and reports on a monthly basis as required by set deadlines
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Investigate and resolve variances
- Preparation of quarterly deliverables associated with the external reporting process, audits and tax compliance
- Assist in provision of information for external auditors and tax teams
- Perform special projects, as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable degree
- 3-5 years of Accounting or Audit experience required
- Working knowledge of GAAP required
- Strong working experience in AR required
- Experience with Revenue Recognition
- Ability to work in remote environment
- Ability to learn new processes, accounting and tax skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
- Innovation and creativity – a problem solver
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- CPA License or the eligibility is plus
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
