Function & Responsibility

The engineering drafter creates manufacturing and supplemental drawings for our manufacturing facility (on site). This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment that produces gas line weldments, primarily for the Semi industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Add manufacturing notes, dimensions, and conversions to customer supplied drawings

· Develop supplemental drawings for bent tubes using SolidWorks

· Produce a cut checklist for saw operations

· Verify Bill of Materials (BOM) in ERP system

· Produce production routers based on drawings and customer requirements

· Design fixtures for manufacturing

· Assist with quoting, especially on complex jobs

· Contribute and maintain ISO standards; correct issues found during internal/external audits

· Be an active member on material review board (MRB)

· Work with Quality department to process RMA’s

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

· Fluent in a CAD environment, SolidWorks preferred

· Strong understanding of blueprints and GD&T

· Ability to work on a team and follow directions

· Good spelling and grammar

· Microsoft Office – Word and Excel primarily

Minimum Qualifications

· A combination of college/technical education and hands-on experience is preferred.

· Mechanical Drafting certification/degree/diploma OR

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar environment OR

· Associates/bachelor’s in engineering
