Description
Join our team! Be a part of Maine Families Home Visiting, helping families raise their children with the best start possible. We have openings for Family Visitors in our Augusta, Waterville, and Skowhegan locations. These are full time, 36-40 hours per week, year round positions.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with expectant parents and parents of young children in their home and virtually via a video platform.
- Help families understand their child’s development and support the parent-child relationship.
- Provide developmental screenings and promote healthy child development.
- Connect families to community resources through referrals.
- Share parent-child activities.
- Plan and provide playgroups.
- Promote positive child health outcomes.
- Partner with parents in creating and working toward family goals.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Family Visitor I: Associates Degree or equivalent college credit and two years supervised work experience with families and young children
- Family Visitor II: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social work, or related field and one year previous supervised work experience with young children and/or parents.
- Valid driver’s license and use of vehicle insured to State of Maine requirements.
- Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, DHHS, DMV, National Sex Offender Registry and Fraud background checks.
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with pregnant people.
- Experience working with individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Home visiting experience
Salary Description
$18.60-$23.40/hr
