The Human Resources Student Assistant serves as an integral team member by providing highly professional and discretionary support to all human resource operations and activities.

DUTIES
Essential Functions: Assists Director of Human Resources and Coordinator of Human Resources in support of the department’s efforts.
- Assists with preparations for new hire orientations, exit interviews, and benefits meetings.
- Assists with Human Resources administrative tasks.
- Assists with the review and audit of Human Resources efforts tracked through the project management software.
- Assists with compliance review.
- Assists with miscellaneous special projects as needed.
- Picks up and delivers Human Resources related items as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities, which may include:
- Actively contributing to efforts to achieve culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
- Providing on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
- Participating on internal event and task committees.
- Participating in Association events including, but not limited to, Muster, Aggie Ring Day, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Pass It Back Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, and All-Aggie Hullabaloo, as needed.
- Representing The Association as needed at external events.
Serves as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, engagement, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M.
Occasional other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Required: Current student at Texas A&M University. Due to extensive training, we require candidates to be able to work at least one year in this role.
Preferred: Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources.
SKILLS
Required: Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as Microsoft Office skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: The position requires moderate physical effort on a daily basis such as walking, bending, and standing for long periods.
OTHER
Required: Valid driver’s license.
