POSITION SUMMARY

 

Leading generic pharmaceutical distributor with advanced   information technologies seeks a highly motivated IT System Administrator   with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative   problem-solving. 

This position is responsible for the   installation, upgrade and monitoring of servers, networks, and computing   devices across the enterprise and the support of users. This includes, but is   not limited to: Microsoft AD and Office365, Windows server, Cloud   infrastructure, PCs, VLANs, endpoint protection, wide area networking,   wireless networking, information security, and mobile devices.

Essential Functions

     

· Administer systems     such as Office365, RingCentral, RMM, VMWare VCloud, Mimecast, FreshService helpdesk, and Staylinked (RF Guns)

· Administer security patches and software updates to desktops, virtual desktops, laptops and servers.

· Develop, document and teach process improvements for system administration.

· Manage system changes and deployment projects

· Respond to incident and service request tickets and calls in a timely manner

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues using remote monitoring and management tools

· Provision new user accounts in various systems 

· Maintain IT asset registers and other departmental records

· Install and support desktops, laptops, RF guns, printers, switches and other equipment and network connections.

· Support and educate staff on Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, Teams, and related tools.

· Support and administer RingCentral Phone, Meetings, and Rooms.

· Efficiently and effectively manage Active Directory Services.

· Administer networks and servers such as file, print, database, web, VPN gateways, and firewalls.

· Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.

· Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

· 4-year College or University degree and a minimum of three years exempt experience in the Information Technology areas. 

· Knowledge of and the ability to apply Information Technology philosophies and techniques. 

· Knowledge of procedures and operations of the functional business areas. 

· Ability to train and advise associates on the use of computers and software packages. 

· Demonstrated ability to resolve mechanical/technical problems with emphasis on troubleshooting. 

· Ability to work independently. 

· Ability to lead project teams. 

· Ability to identify and correct systems and program problems in a timely manner. 

· Reliable and regular attendance is expected.

· Manage time, multiple priorities and projects well

· Be able to work well with deadline pressure, long days and sometimes unpredictable after-hours/weekend duties.

· Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities including pursuing certifications and self-paced research and learning.

· Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Technical Skills     Required:

· Ability to provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems including the following systems: Windows Professional and Server OS in physical and virtual environments

· 3+ years of Windows systems administration experience including Active Directory

· 1+ years of recent experience with VMware 

· 3+ years of Windows systems experience including diagnosing performance problems related to network issues, and memory/CPU utilization

· 1+ years of experience managing LAN/WAN environments

· 1+ years of experience managing Backup/Restore using Disk or Tape backup systems

· 1+ years of experience administering Exchange/Office365

· Experience with computer asset and lifecycle management

Preferred Skills: 

Experience     managing networks, desktops, and servers in medium-size corporate environments

· Experience in firewall configuration and maintenance 

· Experience in managing network routers, switches, wireless APs, VLANs, and network protocols including network sub-netting 

· Cisco network certification or equivalent experience (example CCNA, CCIE, or CCNET)

· Microsoft certification or equivalent experience (example MCP, MCSE, MCSA, or MCSD

· ITIL knowledge and experience

· Project management experience

Soft Skills     Required:

· Excellent communication and documentation skills 

· Ability to create and maintain an environment conducive to collaboration across corporate business units and service divisions

· Ability to reinforce high quality standards driven by company objectives. 

· Promote team cohesiveness; listen to concerns and provide support as needed.

· No regular travel required.
