We are a fast-paced urology practice seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized medical receptionist to join our team. Candidate must be a quick learner, use good judgment, and have great customer service skills. In this role, you will assist with patient check-in/out, insurance verification, patient scheduling and other duties for the office. Must be available Monday through Friday. Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Responsible for acquiring critical demographic, financial, medical and insurance information and signed forms from patients in a professional, courteous, caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Ensure patients are greeted and registered in a timely manner
Ensure all patients are registered in the system prior to receiving service
Listens to patients and takes actions to appropriately and successfully address patient concerns
Obtain the necessary demographic, financial and medical insurance information
Obtains patient’s and/or responsible party’s signatures on required registration form and provides required regulatory brochures as needed to patients and/or responsible party
One-year customer service experience required
Healthcare registration or admitting experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with health care billing and authorization preferred
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
