This position relies heavily on strong customer service skills, critical thinking, and self-direction with general supervision. In one year as a GSE Senior Asset Manager, you will know you were successful if you…
- Manage borrower relationships on a portfolio of GSE multifamily mortgage loans and service, maintain and troubleshoot assigned tasks
- Provide timely and accurate customer support to internal and external stakeholders
- Process assumptions, loan modifications, and other borrower requests
- Assist VP GSE Asset Management with reviewing/processing complicated borrower credit transactions
- Assess and manage portfolio risk through quarterly and annual financial analysis, inspections and monthly collections
- Assist VP GSE Asset Management with review of financial analysis and risk assessment prior to watchlist determination
- Perform property inspections and deferred maintenance follow up
- Review and process repairs and substantial rehabilitation draw requests and manage insurance loss draw requests and follow up
- Asset VP GSE Asset Management with approving disbursements and reviewing monthly reports with the GSE Team
- Provide training and mentoring to Asset Managers and Asset Management Analysts
What we are looking for…
- Five plus years of role-specific experience required such as asset management or portfolio management
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guide requirements required
- Requires demonstrated functional competency in performing Asset Management Analyst duties
- Fundamentally developed understanding of loan portfolio management function required
- General understanding of multifamily mortgage banking required
- Requires problem solving skills as well as the initiative to troubleshoot and find resolutions
- Must demonstrate the ability to identify, interpret and apply applicable guidelines in managing assigned processes
- Must possess strong organization and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Requires proficiency in using basic computer software such as Microsoft Office, specifically regarding Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage the demands of multiple deadlines while working as a team player with consideration for customers, co-workers, and vendors
